James Clinch (he/him)

PSYCHOLOGIST

James is a registered psychologist who completed his Clinical Psychology training at the University of Melbourne. He works with adolescents and adults and brings a reflective, intellectually engaged approach to therapy.

He is particularly interested in how people understand themselves, their emotions, and their relationships, and how unexamined patterns of thinking or relating can quietly shape distress over time. James focuses on helping clients think clearly about their experiences, develop insight into what sustains their difficulties, and make changes that are both meaningful and workable in real life.

His work is informed by contemporary psychological research, alongside a strong respect for individuality, personal values, and the complexity of human experience. James aims to offer a therapeutic space that is calm, respectful, and psychologically rigorous, one in which clients feel supported to reflect honestly, tolerate uncertainty, and move toward greater agency and resilience.
