Philip Yazbek (he/him)
PSYCHOLOGIST
Philip is a registered psychologist who works with adults experiencing a wide range of psychological and emotional difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, interpersonal challenges, and periods of personal or professional transition. He brings a warm, thoughtful, and collaborative approach to therapy, with a strong emphasis on safety, trust, and understanding the whole person within their broader life context.
Philip has extensive experience working with trauma, including sexual trauma, complex trauma, and long-standing relational and developmental difficulties. Through this work with clients from a broad range of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, Philip is attentive to how social, cultural, and systemic factors shape people’s experiences.
His approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies such as EMDR, DBT, ACT, and relationally informed approaches, which he integrates flexibly to suit each client’s needs rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model.
Philip works collaboratively and at a pace that feels right for each individual, tailoring therapy to what is most helpful and meaningful for them. He has a particular interest in helping clients develop greater understanding of their internal experiences, including the different parts of themselves and how these interact, especially in the context of emotional regulation, self-compassion, and change. Philip works with adults and supports clients across a broad range of concerns, including trauma recovery, workplace and life transitions, interpersonal patterns, emotional regulation, and personal growth.
